Level of Activity

There is a lot of activity during the day at this park in any good weather, especially when kids are out of school. More often than not you will see people with skateboards over roller skates. Evenings after dinner and mornings before breakfast are great times to go if you don’t want a high level of activity while you’re skating.

What Kind of Skate Park is this?

A great skatepark for skate park beginners and experts looking to try out dropping in with or without a coping, with a smaller bowl and a large pool-shaped bowl available. There's also a great flat middle area that works for beginners as well.

What Kind of Skate Park is this?

A brand new skatepark as of August 2022, complete with a half bowl and a long track-style design that allows skaters to zip from one end of the park to the other. It has rails, steps, a bowl, and an area for gear. There are plenty of grind rails and inclines to play on. This is a good park for skaters who are comfortable in a skatepark and on inclines.

Lewiston Skatepark in Kennedy Park

Location

The corner of Spruce and Park Streets in Lewiston, Maine. Link to Google Maps directions:

27 Spruce St, Lewiston, ME 04240

Level of Activity

From 9:30am onward into the late evening, this skate park is always busy with crowds of kids, teens, and adults on skateboards, scooters, and bicycles. Lots of enthusiasm for anyone who’s park skating! Just be sure to look around before you take your turn in a space.

What Kind of Skate Park is this?

The Kennedy Park skate park is for people comfortable going down into bowls and skate areas that are four, six, and nine feet deep. The bowls aren’t often clean, so be careful of debris and trash. They are completely worth the skate however. There’s a great run all the way around the 4 foot area and down into a long bowl.

There’s also a flat-ish area at the top of the park to leave gear in a visible place, and to practice on a grind rail!
